Steve Ruffle tells me Rotherham tenants and residents are keen to be involved in decisions on the future of council housing, new house building for tenants and the management of housing services. A tenants reference group created by Rother Fed will be one way we can all get involved and influence the decisions made by Rotherham Council

Tour of Britain
The Tour of Britain starts today in London. There are 3 riders from our area taking part: Dean and Russell Downing and Ben Swift, the 2007 E.ON King of the Mountains winner.
ITV4 will be broadcasting highlights every evening from 20.00 – 21.00
The nearest stage this year begins at Barton-on-Humber - Stage 5 Kingston upon Hull to Dalby Forest on 11th September.

Flood Warnings
The Met Office warns rain will be most persistent in the eastern side of northern England where totals in excess of 50 mm are possible in places, particularly over high ground. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads, and also to the Environment Agency Floodline and Flood Warnings in force.
