Revel Pedigree

by Gladwin M Revell Turbutt

Revel Pedigree from FMG »

In his book, The History of Ogston, Turbutt says that the Revells of Toulouse may be identified by the town of Revel which is near Carcassone, and the similarity between their arms and those of the Revells of England suggests a close connection.

It is recorded that Henry Revel of Swinford, living 1183, was son of Sir Hugo de Revell of Dauphiny, France. However the tree recorded by Gladwin M Revell Turbutt does not include that information.

He begins with Roger Revell Lord of Manor of Revell living in 1119.
