Perrot of Jersey and Rotherham

The Rev. Clement Perrot was master at the Independent College, Masborough.

Clement Perrot was born in Jersey in 1786, great grandson of a Huguenot exile. He was early converted to Christ and studied for the ministry at Dr. Bogue's academy in Gosport, Hampshire (Non conformists were not admitted to Universities in those days).

In 1829 he was appointed Pricipal of the Independent College at Rotherham where he served for 20 years in this capacity. During this time he trained large numbers of ministers, many of whom were to become well known.

He married Julia Fey Hamill and they had nine children.

Rev. Clement died in 1849.

Living at Eastwood lodge in 1881 was Clement H. Perrot, age 38 an Iron founder, his wife. Mary M. age 36 from Masborough The children were born in Rotherham:
