The Firbeck Hall Estate, on the borders of Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire was sold by auction held at the Lion Hotel, Worksop, on 9 May 1934, by Jackson-Stops & Staff and Harrods Ltd . The estate consisted of:

In 1943, Firbeck Hall Estate was again for sale by auction.

A Magnificent Agricultural, Investment, Hotel and Sporting Property or Potential High Class Garden City in the heart of England, known as the Firbeck Estate, Maltby.

The famous elizebethan mansion of Firbeck Hall, previously reknowned as one of the leading Social Country Clubs in the world. Included with the property is the excellent private Aerodrome, designed by the late Captain T. Campbell , an 18 hole golf course, a magnificant swimming pool, and beyond, Four valuable farms, several small holdings and Cottages, together with the valuable Sporting and Fishing rights on the whole estate, which extends to 1100 acres and produces an actual gross rental of £2500 p.a.
