Death of Rebecca Tingle

 

18th May, 1838

 

Rebecca Tingle, niece to Mrs. Thackray of Herringthorpe, Rotherham died after looking for eggs in a hen roost.

She was passing through the trap door, when the door fell and she was suspended by the neck between it and the floor.

She found found dead 10 minutes afterwards.
