Royal Visit to Rockingham Works
During August,1827, his Royal Highness the Duke of Sussex, accompanied by the Right Hon. Earl Fitzwilliam, Lord and Lady Milton, and a large party of distinguished friends from Wentworth, visited the Rockingham Works.
In going through the manufactory, his Royal Highness remarked upon many improvements over the foreign china works; and expressed himself most decidedly of opinion, that the Yorkshire porcelain is superior to any he has seen.
His Royal Highness many times personally complimented the Messrs. Brameld on the beauty and originality of their productions; and gave a liberal order for elegant breakfast, dinner, and dessert services for Kensington Palace.
