Steedman

Joseph Steedman was born in Retford, he married Matilda Crofts from Laughton=en-le-Morthen. They had five children:

They were living at Sawn Moor Cottage Thurcroft in 1901, Joseph was occupied as a Foreman at the farm next door.

Also living with the family was Matilda's mother Alice Croft who in 1901 was 77 years old.

In 1891 a George Steedman, also from Retford was living in Whiston with his wife and family
