Pashley of Retford and Stainton Hall

George Pashley (d.1663) of Stainton was married to Elizabeth, daughter of Robert Cooke

William Pashley, son of George, of Stainton, Yorks., Esq. obtained a BA in 1683-4 and MA in 1687. He died Dec. 13, 1708.

 

In 1782, George Pashley of Stainton, gent., surrendered to the Lord of the Manor all his copyhold messuages, cottages and lands in Conisborough

 

William Pashley, Rector of Grove, Nottingham, was the son of Robert Pashley, of Stainton; he married Elizabeth(d.1795 aged 80), dau. of Richard Horncastle, of Leeds, surgeon. Died May 9, 1793, aged 74 and was buried at Barlborough.

William Pashley (d.1793) and Elizabeth had 2 sons:

William and Susannah had a daughter Mary(d.1845) who married about 1803 Gamaliel Milner of Thurlston. Son Benjamin Burbeary of Sheffield, solicitor m. Elizabeth.

Benjamin and Elizabeth had 3 children: James B. Elizabeth and Sarah.

 

James Pashley of Maltby, yeoman, died 11 Jul 1608.

 

William Fretwell of Herringthorpe bp. Maltby 2 April 1617 m. Dorothy daughter of John Pashley of Maltby.
