Maltby of Maltby

Thomas Tanckerd of Brampton esquire was married to Frances, a daughter and co-heir of Christopher Maltby of Mustone esquire who was deceased by 1631.

Catherine daughter of Christopher Maltby was married to Michael Warton of Beverley who was killed at Scarborough Castle.

Averil Maltby of Cottingham was daughter of Christopher Maltby, of Maltby, also known Everild, she was the second wife of George Wentworth of Woolley, they married in 1626. She died 9 Sept., 1639

John Maltbie of Hemingbye, a husbandman was the brother of Thomas Maltbye who married Brigit Lake daughter of Richard Lake

 

Will and probate of John Maltby of Sheffield, schoolmaster - 1786-1787: Divides his houses between his children: to John the house where Aaron Rodd dwells, with widow Bolsover in the Chamber and George Ward in the garrett; to his son Thomas the room he now uses as a school and the garretts which Samuel Sant occupies and to his daughter Elizabeth (the executrix) the house in which he now dwells with the two chambers over. October, 1786. Proved 4 January, 1787
