Thomas Lord Coventry (1578–1640)

Thomas Coventry married first to Sarah, daughter of Sir Edward Sebright of Basford, Worcestershire, and secondly to Elizabeth, daughter of John Aldersey of Spurstow, Cheshire. By his first wife he had a son, Thomas, and a daughter, Elizabeth. Thomas succeeded him as second Baron Coventry and married in 1627 to Mary (d1634), daughter of Sir William Craven his son Thomas, was created Earl of Coventry on 26 April 1697.

By his second wife he had 8 children:

Thomas Coventry , the lord keeper was the guardian of Sir John Pakington (1620–1680) of Westwood, Worcestershire.

John Pakington (1620–1680) succeeded to the baronetcy on the death of his father before he was four years of age. On the death of his grandfather, the following year, he became the ward of Thomas Coventry.

Sir John married Dorothy (1623-1679), one of the daughters of Thomas Lord Coventry.

John Pakington and Dorothy had 2 daughters and a son:

William Godfrey, Esq.was the proprietor of the manor of Thonock in 1666.
