Pedigree of Anne of Frickley

George Anne of Frickley (d 1620) was the son of Martin Anne of Frickley (died 1582) and Elizabeth Nevill.

The Manor of Burghwallis had been transferred in 1594 by John West to Richard Fenton and his wife. Richard Fenton had a daughter Margaret who married George Anne of Frickley who already held land in Burghwallis.

Dorothy, daughter of John Anne of Frickley, married John Anlaby of Etton. Their son William (c.1552–1597) was a Roman Catholic priest and martyr.

 

Michael Anne of Frickley married Eleanor, daughter of Robert Stapleton of Templehurst

 

The Anne family had connections through marriage to the Ellis family of Kiddall Hall, Barwick in Elmet, West Riding of Yorkshire.
