NO2ID: STOP ID CARDS
NO2ID is a campaigning
organisation focussed on the threat to liberty and privacy posed by the rapid growth of the database state, of which
'ID cards' are the most visible part. The organisation is entirely independent and does not endorse any party,
nor campaign on any other topic.
Their aim is to publicise the case against state identity management among the general public, in the media, and at every level in government. NO2ID's members are from all sorts of backgrounds and hold all sorts of opinions on other questions. These almost certainly include many Rotherham Web visitors and they would appreciate your support.
NO2ID comment:
WHY YOU SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT 'DATA-SHARING'... AND WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT
'Information sharing' is supposed to sound nice. But think about it - gossip is information sharing.
There is still almost daily news of the government mislaying confidential personal information. After HMRC lost 25 million people's records - including millions of unencrypted bank account details - you would hope that ministers and officials would be taking things seriously...'
As you probably know, Rotherham Web is totally non-political but on this issue the message we would like to put forward to our readers is to visit the NO2ID website - read their well-presented arguments, watch their videos and formulate your next steps. To our minds the organisation is worth supporting.
