'A magical sight you will never forget - myriads of flowers in the five-acre garden plus a half mile walk through the wood with sheets of snowdrops to delight you. Certainly worth travelling a considerable distance to see'
The Hodsock Snowdrop Garden and Snowdrop Wood will be open every day for five weeks in 2006 from Saturday 28th January to Sunday 5th March from 10am – 4pm (last entry).
Approximately 30,000 visitors now enjoy this garden each winter, many coming from Japan, USA and Europe as well as all over the UK.
MORE SNOWDROPS continue to be planted, increasing the already impressive display and a new area in the wood has been opened up to show more snowdrops and extend the woodland walk.
The 2000 Hellebores planted 2003 make a wonderful sight on the moat bank.
FRAGRANCE AND COLOUR can be enjoyed throughout the garden. Sarcococca, Daphne, Winter Honeysuckle, Leucojums, Golden Aconites, Cyclamen and Irises are all in flower. The red, green, yellow, orange, black and white stems and trunks of Cornus, Willow, Rubus, Birch and Acers are at their best in winter.
The two new FERNERIES are now established and looking good.
The recently re-created FAN GARDEN planted with Snowdrops and Tete- a-Tete Narcissus has proved a popular feature.

The 2002 MURRAY ARMOR APIARY is a group of remarkable replica historic beehives, some resembling Victorian follies. Bees are not very active during winter months but on sunny days visitors are likely to see some quietly collecting nectar and pollen from the flowers and carrying it back to the hives to produce honey.
A clearly marked trail, with plenty of seats, makes it easy for everyone to see comfortably the fabulous HODSOCK SNOWDROPS and other winter flowers. Shortcuts are signed for those who prefer a shorter walk.
