Richard Cadman of Sheffield Park, cutler m Issabell Rose of Woodhouse, spinster, 22 September 1658
Edwin Cadman, originally from Derbyshire, of Westbourne House, Sheffield, married Mary Grayson, daughter of Edward Thornhill Simpson, of Thornhill House, Wakefield.
In 1722 George Cadman, cutler had property at West Street Sheffield.
In 1787 David Cadman, razorsmith married Hannah Sykes (b.1743) (Nee Roberts).
in 1786, Roberts, Cadman and Company (Samuel Roberts, George Cadman, Benjamin Naylor senior partners), were manufacturing Tablewear from premises at Eyre Street, owned by Samuel Roberts, senior partner in the firm.
In 1805 Peter Cadman, cutler acquired the lease for 21 years of a piece of land being part of the Hungry Knowles in Sheffield Park at a rent £9. 9s.

William Cadman b.1809 Handsworth Grange. merchant, son of Peter and Sarah (Nee Newbould) died 1874. He m. 1834 at Handsworth to Margaret Smelter b.1813. Children:

NOTICE is hereby given, that a Petition was, on the 30th July,
1874, presented to the Lord High Chancellor of Great
Britain, by William Cadman, late of the parish of Handsworth, but now of Wath-upon-
Dearne, Gentleman, and Margaret Cadman, his wife, William John Smelter Cadman,
of the city of York, Esquire, Barrister-at-Law (the eldest
son of the petitioner William Cadman), Philip Cadman
Cadman. Christopher Cadman Cadman, and William
Cadman Cadman (the sons of the petitioner, William John
Smelter Cadman). all infants, by Thomas Watson Cadman, .
of Ballifield Hall, Esquire, their
guardian duly appointed for the purpose of the said Petition.
George Smelter Cadman, of Wath-upon-Dearne aforesaid,
Gentleman (the second son of the petitioner, William Cadman), Edward Smelter Cadman, of Teddington, of Middlesex, Gentleman
(the third son of the petitioner, William Cadman),and Frederick Smelter Cadman,
of Wath-upon-Dearne aforesaid, Gentleman (the fourth son
of the petitioner, William Cadman), for an Order confirming
and to carry into effect the conditional agreements of the 12th December, 1872, and 4th February, 1873, stated in
the 13th and 14th paragraphs of the said Petition, and also
for an Order vesting in Thomas Watson Cadman and Beckitt Nicholson, the Trustees named in the said Petition,
and the survivor of them, or in such other person as to his Lordship shall seem fit, general powers of granting mining
leases for any 'term or terms of years not exceeding sixty years in possession' and of entering into and making preliminary
contracts, to grant such leases of all or any of the beds, Beams, and strata of coal and other minerals lying and being
in or under the lands and hereditaments, situate in the parishes of Wath-upon-Dearne and
Bolton-upon-Dearne,
mentioned in the heading of the said Petition, and also general powers of granting building leases for any term or
terms of years not exceeding 800 years in possession, and of entering into and making preliminary contracts, to grant
such leases of all or any part or parts of the land, hereditaments, and real estate, mentioned in the heading of this
notice, such leases and contracts for leases to be in conformity with the several Acts of Parliament mentioned in
the heading of the said Petition, so far as such provisions may be applicable to each particular case, and 'subject to
such conditions as to his Lordship might seem fit, and that the said Trustees, and the survivor of them, and any
Trustees or Trustee to be appointed as prayed by the said Petition, might be authorized to carry out the said conditional
agreements' stated in the 13th and 14th paragraphs of the said Petition, and to execute leases in pursuance thereof,
under the powers so to be vested in them or him. And notice is hereby also given, that the petitioners may be
served with any Order of the Court, or notice relating to the subject of the said Petition, at the office of their Solicitors,
