Dinnington 1950-1960
1957/8 - Members of Dinnington St Johns Ambulance Brigade, the ladies were also voluntary nurses at local hospitals. In centre back row is Mr. Arther Cowley one of the main stays in the Ambulance Brigade in Dinnington who used to teach First Aid classes and was also a First Aid room attendant at Dinnington Colliery. On his right is Mrs Florence Gething, and front row left side is Mrs. A Brown, others not known.

1957/8 - The lorry is ready for off to join the parade, advertised on lorry, usually the coal lorry, is an advert for people to join the St Johns Ambulance Brigade with meetings in the Falcon Hotel. The Poster says: Do you know how to treat these patients,if not join us at the Falcon Hotel Tues at 6.0 clock.

Behind the cars are the Cleavland Driscoll petrol pumps selling petrol for less than two shillings a gallon (10p.) Just behind the lorry is an Horse and Cart also in the carnival parade.
